[UPDATED] London’s First Owl Bar to Open in Soho For One Week Only

[UPDATED]
London’s first owl themed bar has now been cancelled after a petition was launched by campaigners.

The petition which attracted 28,000 signatures opposing the opening of the bar.

The campaigners said that the owl’s could potentially attack customers as well as becoming highly stressed themselves.

The organisers behind Annie the Owl issued a statement on their website, “The organisers can confirm that they have procured a new venue in a more spacious London location.”

“The new blank canvas venue is much bigger, features ample outdoor space and a well distributed inside space. This new venue and a better location further reiterate the fact that the organisers take the welfare of birds and a smooth operation of the event very seriously.”

For one week only London will be getting it’s very own owl themed bar fully kitted out with some real life owls.

The bar will be open from March 19 – 25, operating between 8:30pm and 2am everyday.

Annie the owl is the star of the show and she’s also joined by Darwin, Ruby, Cinders, Winston, and Hootie.

Entry to the venue is in really high demand so there is a ballot system to control the number of people attending.

It’s a £20 entry fee however all the profits go towards The Barn Owls Centre.

You can get your tickets from here, all successful entries will know by March 16 where you will be able to choose the date and time of your visit.

Here’s a cute owl compilation video as well.
